PJ Builders is one of the few Park City general contractors with vast experience in Old Town renovations. We are highly skilled at preserving each unique home’s historic aesthetics while striking the right balance to incorporate modern technologies, finishes, and amenities. Our successful renovations, many on homes in excess of 100 years, are carefully designed to preserve the historic significance and integrity of the structure, while bringing it up to current building codes for heat sources, insulation, windows, plumbing, electrical, and safety.
We have used cranes to raise entire homes to allow us to excavate for a new foundation. We then replace the house on the site, reframe from the inside when necessary, and construct seamless additions that are compatible to the home’s original exterior design.
“We contracted PJ Builders for an historic renovation in Old Town Park City. Being an old miners’ home it was not an easy renovation. At every turn there seemed to be another challenge that needed to be overcome. No obstacle seemed too much for Pete Olson. He would determine a solution that met planning codes and the renovation style we wanted to achieve. His attention to detail, workmanship and communication were always a priority, which was invaluable to us.”
